Bio
James plays a key role in leading teams on live events, briefing staff at the start of shifts and making sure everyone understands their roles, responsibilities, and emergency procedures. Throughout an event, he monitors the site, including entrances, exits, crowd areas, and restricted zones, to ensure operations run safely and smoothly.
He manages incidents as they arise, from minor issues through to situations that need escalating to senior management or emergency services. A large part of James’s role is maintaining crowd safety, spotting potential risks early, and taking action before problems develop.
Clear communication is central to his work, keeping in constant contact with security teams, event organisers, stewards, and partner agencies. He also ensures policies and licensing conditions are followed and completes detailed reports and logs after each event.
James has been with ExcluSec for nearly five years and enjoys working closely with the team to create a friendly, positive environment while maintaining high professional standards.
